How should one prepare for ToELR_ Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic and Reasoning and interview for afmc?

Hello there!
This answer shall act as a complete help for all the rounds that are held after you are called at AFMC.
The selection process broadly has 5 Heads:
I’ll touch up on all of these in brief detail.
1.ToELR
The first test you need to take after you are called at the campus for the interview. 80
marks. Total score divided by 2 to get marks out of 40,which are then added to your score.
Your score of ToELR is never displayed,Even after the selection,so asking for “minimum marks
required in it “ is a waste of time. All you can do is to focus on taking it nicely.
It is a basic test which has 10 marks of english comprehension,30 marks of general english comprising
of phrases,basic rules of english,synonyms and antonyms. I can’t tell what exactly you need to read for
that,although you can practice from any general english book for that. (It is a cakewalk for those who
are good at communication skills)
Then mathematics. No Formulas or higher mathematics required. Just a good taste in the subject and
quick calculations. I’d recommend you to read permutation and combination,though(just in case you
did not have maths in 12 like me). Thats all.Nothing special. (watch out on your speed,though.)
The ToELR is a basic test,which does not require any special practice As My Experience says.

2. Psychological assessment test
Nowinners,no losers. You dont score in it. Just a few situations (60 f
them),and you rate them on a scale of 1 to 5. It is okay to sound stupid in some of your answers if you
really are. Dont fake it. If you do it,mark it. A complete report of this test is presented on the table of
each member of panel interview. Any fake answer and they catch you there. The Only way out is
Honesty.
3. Interactive interviewA

interview with the Brig (Adm). Your file (having your mark
sheet,AIPMT scorecard,Your certificates,Your ToELR score and psychological assessment report) Is
checked and is added by the report of a small interview,in which he shall ask your hobbies and a little
about yourself. Nothing to fear,just to know your area of interests.

4.Panel InterviewI
have written ample number of answers on How beautiful and interactive this
session is. Headed by the Dean ( Major general). It goes long enough,but you won’t feel the time

passing by. Our dean right now ( who’ll be heading it this time) Is super cool and sporty,and is an ExAFMCite.
Be honest in front of him.
Have a little knowledge about your area and a little about ranks of army and other forces.Touch up on
current affairs and problems affecting your area. Be aware of everything related to your father’s
profession. If you dont know it, Be honest. And try Not to be in a situation where you dont know it. Be
well aware of everything you do. ( If you are in cricket,they’ll hand you a cricket ball and ask you to
inswing it.Quite literally.)
